California Assisted Living Inservice Program: Tired of researching what you should be training on each month? Worried you might not meet the mandated training hours and topics per Title 22? Worry no more! We take the hassle out of annual ongoing training by equipping you with monthly in-services developed by industry experts. Each month we have designated inservice topics for both caregivers and med techs. This training plan will ensure associates complete the appropriate topics based on their role/job duties for 12 months.
Includes: This training program will consist of the following easy to use components:
- Annual Inservice Training Schedule. Each year we provide a running monthly schedule identifying topics to be covered. Topics are designed to meet California staff training requirements, including dementia and medication subjects. Inservices are available for 12 months.
- CA RCFE Caregiver Orientation Program – Only for first time customers.
- CA RCFE Medication Orientation Program – Only for first time customers.
- Caregiver Training Records. Proper documentation is key to staying in compliance.
- Two live webinars a month. One for caregivers, another for med techs. Each webinar is approximately 1 hour. Webinars held the 1st Wednesday of every month.

California Infection Control Plan
CA Infection Control Plan: According to PIN 22-13-ASC, RCFE and ARF providers are required to submit an Infection Control Plan to CCLD by June 30, 2022. The Mitigation Plan as mentioned in PIN 21-43-ASC, will stay in effect until the licensee’s Infection Control Plan is submitted to CCLD for approval.

California RCFE Medication Orientation Program
New Staff Training Program: Designed to assist RCFE providers meet the required medication training requirements. Facilities licensed to provide care for 16 or more persons shall complete 24 hours of initial training. Facilities licensed to provide for 15 or fewer shall complete 10 hours of initial training. Ongoing training shall consist of 8 hours of in-service training related to medication issues.

California Emergency Preparedness Program
Emergency Preparedness Program: AB 3098 was recently signed by Governor Brown, effective January 1st, 2019. This bill requires all RCFEs to have additional elements within the emergency and disaster plan. Our California Emergency Preparedness Program provides you with the tools to stay in compliance with CA state regulations.

RCFE/Assisted Living Annual In-service Training Program
RCFE Direct Care Staff Annual In-service Training: Training requirements shall include an additional 20 hours annually, eight hours of which shall be dementia care training, as required by subdivision (a) of Section 1569.626 , and four hours of which shall be specific to postural supports, restricted health conditions, and hospice care, as required by subdivision (a) of Section 1569.696.
RCFE Medication Annual In-service Training: Each employee who continues to assist with the self-administration of medicines, shall also complete 8 hours of in-service training on medication-related issues in each succeeding 12-month periods.

Utah Assisted Living Caregiver Orientation Program
New Staff Training Program: Utah’s Bureau of Licensing and Certification has just implemented a new rule that removes the CNA requirement for assisted living direct care personnel. This requirement has been removed in exchange for a more detailed orientation training requirement. At least one certified nurse aide must be on duty in a Type II facility 24 hours per day.
Designed for Assisted Living Type I or II providers in Utah to assist with the required 16 hours of new hire orientation. Each direct-care employee shall receive 16 hours of documented one-on-one training with a direct-care employee, with at least 3 months of experience and who has completed orientation, or the supervising nurse at the facility.
